I am an innovative and strategic eLearning specialist recognized for 10+ years of broad-based experience across the education and hospitality industries. My mission is to create online learning engaging and effective for all learners by utilizing latest technologies and strategies. I am passionate about education and allowing access to all learners of different ages, groups, and abilities.
What I love about eLearning is that I get to be creative and collaborate with others. Being creative is what brings me joy. eLearning allows me to think of unique solutions to training or learning needs. In addition, creating appealing and interactive multimedia content provides me the same creative outlet. Collaboration in eLearning is crucial. From talking to SMEs, team leads, and stake holders, I love to hear what they bring to the table and incorporate their ideas and their strengths into my work.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, crafting (any kind of craft and DIY!), and spending quality time with my family.
Current Role
Instructional Systems Designer & Scrum Master
The project I am currently working on is a contract with the United States Navy (USN), where we make training or courseware for Sailors. Within 8 months of working as an ISD, I was given the position of Scrum Master. In this role, I managed a team of 30, which included ISDs, SMEs, and graphic artists. I was responsible for 2 full course, totaling to about 40,000 IMI minutes. As Scrum Master, I was able to develop not only my instructional design skills, but also leadership, communication, organizational, and mentorship skills.
